The room was tiny, with barely any space for luggage, as other reviews mention. Sound carries through the thin walls, so conversations outside and even other guests showering were easy to hear. The main problem came after my two-night stay. I had accidentally left three small drops of blood on the sheet the first night, and nobody said anything while I was there. After checkout, while my luggage was stored, they messaged me on WhatsApp demanding $92 USD because they said the sheet could no longer be used. I went back to the hotel, which is really just a few rooms in a house. The owner, an older man with glasses, yelled at me, held my luggage, and wouldn't let me leave unless I paid. When I asked for proof of the cost, he showed a receipt from six months earlier for five sheets bought in bulk. The sheet had already been in use for months, but they wanted to charge as if it were new. I asked if I could buy the whole set at that price, since the receipt was for five sheets bought together, but he refused. It seemed I was being charged the full replacement cost of a bulk purchase for one used sheet while the hotel kept the others. I offered to find a reasonable solution and even to clean it with soap and water, since it would have been easy to clean. He wouldn't compromise and insisted on the full $92 USD. When I refused, he said I couldn't leave until I paid. I told him repeatedly that holding me there against my will was illegal. He made a very degrading racial comment and kept a copy of my passport, which he refused to return. I don't know what he plans to do with it. The police were called. The owner then said I could pay half, which still seemed unreasonable to me. After speaking with both of us, the police let me leave and said I could file a complaint if needed. I wish nobody else had to go through this nightmare.

Laura at the front desk was attentive and had good suggestions, and the included breakfast was very good. The little taco place next door, El Puto Taco, was tasty, reasonably priced, and convenient. The hotel is cute and quaint. My superior room had a small enclosed patio but no bathtub. The dipping pool never got warm enough to really enjoy. The walls are thin, so keep the TV volume low. I did like the comfortable bed, AC, and especially the very hot shower with great water pressure.

I really enjoyed eating here each morning. The breakfast and brunch were excellent, thanks to the in-house chef, Camilo. Tatiana and Alejandra were lovely and attentive in the mornings, and in the evening the café became a wine bar with two knowledgeable sommeliers and a great selection of small gourmet plates. The location was another plus, close to top attractions and the Santa Fe and Oviedo malls. Andrés Carne de Res was nearby too, along with rooftop lounges and a charming little bar around the corner. With just eight rooms, the hotel felt peaceful and personal, and the staff made me feel welcome from the start. There was lots of greenery and natural light. I stayed in two rooms, and both had very comfortable beds. It's a lovely place for a welcoming stay with good food and personal service, and I'd recommend it.

I left my bag in an Uber, and the driver didn't respond until after I'd already left. The hotel helped arrange to have it delivered back to New York, which was incredible. The staff were so nice, the rooms beautiful, and the included breakfast was delicious. The café is cute and a good spot to sit and work. It's on a quiet street but still easy to get to the fun, and cabs and Ubers are cheap. Highly recommend. I'll be back.

A good spot to recharge before heading out for the next day's adventure. Breakfast and lunch are excellent. There's a convenience store and places to eat nearby, including a place open 24 hours with good food. Recommended.
