The staff were attentive, but that couldn’t make up for the state of the hotel. The room smelled musty, had old curtains and an aging air conditioner, and a broken window let mosquitoes in all night. The bathrooms were filthy, the bins hadn’t been emptied, and there wasn’t enough toilet paper or even a holder for the rolls. The mattress springs squeaked with the slightest movement. The photos don’t match the old rooms we were shown. They need to improve. A low price doesn’t excuse misleading guests or failing to provide decent service, and there’s a long way to go before this feels like a proper colonial hotel. It was a terrible experience.

I brought 40 clients to the restaurant, where breakfast was included, but I had to pay extra for the day before, when it wasn’t. The area also felt extremely unsafe, and my clients couldn’t leave safely. There was a strong smell of drugs and consumption nearby. I honestly wouldn’t recommend this place.

The location can be somewhat unsafe, so it’s best to head out early, keep personal belongings off the street, and stay aware of homeless people. Even so, we recommend the hotel if you want somewhere good, nice, and inexpensive. It was very clean, the facilities were pleasant, and the host’s service was excellent, friendly, and helpful. We appreciated the person who paid attention to what we needed.
