The rooftop spa and bar were my biggest letdown. The spa was cold, there was no bar service at all, and although we were told the hotel was fully booked, the rooftop had no guests or staff. On the positive side, the room was clean and serviced daily, and the staff were pleasant and accommodating. The location is handy, with restaurants and parks a short walk away, but the busy street brings a lot of traffic noise. Our safe and microwave didn't work, the bed was extremely hard, and they supplied very few towels, with no washcloths and just one hand towel. The Marriott is right across the street, with a decent sushi restaurant and bar nearby.

Such a nice place, and the staff are great. Breakfast comes with the stay and is made to order by a wonderful chef. The food was decent, and she's amazing, love her!

The pictures online don't show the hotel's real condition, in my view, and this turned into one of our worst hotel stays. We got to Hotel Aqua Granada in Cali around 1:00 PM and were willing to wait for the stated 3:00 PM check-in, but didn't receive a room until 5:26 PM. Before that, the front desk handed us keys to a room that was already occupied and had another guest's belongings inside, which was a serious privacy and safety issue. The receptionist showed very poor customer service throughout, with no empathy, urgency, or clear communication. We only received an apology at the very end. We do not recommend this hotel under any circumstances.

The jacuzzi was dirty and didn't work at night. Breakfast was a bad experience too: slow service, very little food, and it wasn't tasty. It wasn't a buffet, just a sandwich. They charged me 10 dollars for a room key worth 1 dollar. The front desk crew seemed occupied with kids and didn't know customer service. I wouldn't recommend this hotel. Maybe it's two stars now, definitely not four.

The location is convenient, with restaurants, malls, and bars within walking distance, and it's near the Cali river. There's a lovely walk along the river, past the cat display, under beautiful trees native to Columbia. My room had a kitchenette, and the decor was pleasant after a renovation in recent years. I also had the free daily breakfast, which was good and offered plenty of choices, and ate at the restaurant a couple of times. At first I wasn't sure I'd be comfortable and thought about moving hotels, but I'm glad I stayed. The price is very good, the staff are excellent, and the place is comfortable. I highly recommend Agua Granada and will stay again, probably without looking elsewhere.
