The hostel has shut down, but some booking sites still list it. Check that it’s actually open before you reserve, or you could arrive with nowhere to stay.

I was the only guest during my three days there. The kitchen had flies and dirty dishes until the owner’s mom cleaned it on my last day, and there was stagnant water attracting mosquitoes. When I brought it up, Ruben seemed offended. The place has potential, but the execution was really poor. It felt more like staying in someone’s house than in a hostel, and Ruben came across as kind of shady. One of the worst places I’ve stayed.

By the end of our week, Ruben, Carolina, Jose and Marlon felt like family. They put their hearts into Casa arq and were so accommodating as hosts. It had only just opened, but already had a lot to offer. We knew where we’d stay if we get to come back for the Cali salsa festival. Thanks for making our time in Cali so good ❤️

A great home away from home in Cali. Reuben, Jose, and Marlon made sure we had what we needed, whether we were relaxing by the pool, heading into the mountains, or enjoying Cali’s nightlife. Special mention to Marlon!
