Hotel Ayenda La 44 Norte

We only got one towel, the toilet was clogged, and the room was unbearably hot when we walked in. They had a list of basic items like soft drinks and Mecano, but when we tried to buy something, they said they didn't even have water for sale. When we went to pay 75,000 with a 100,000 bill, they had no change and told us to go find some ourselves at 10:00 pm. Then at 10:30 am they knocked to say checkout was at 10:00 am, although Booking.com clearly gave the time as 12:00 pm. When we asked why, the manager said he charged more for the room, but since we'd booked through Booking.com and paid less, it was only fair for us to leave early. That was his answer. The staff had a terrible attitude, the least professional I've encountered in years of travel. The worst hotel we could have found.

At least the hotel is close to important places in the north of the city. The rest of the stay was awful: the facilities were dirty, and both the towels and bed were unclean when I arrived. Reception was terrible too, with staff who were unfriendly. I travel often, and this was the worst experience I've had in years.

The woman who helped us was kind, but that didn't make up for the condition of the room. A cockroach slept beside me, the beds and linens were worn, and there were only two TV channels. In the morning, the water pressure was poor, and the motorcycle parking was right beside the room. We also heard unexplained noises from the ceiling.
