Hotel el Peñón By Bithotels

The room was spacious for the three of us, and the AC worked well. We couldn’t open the window, though, so there was no way to get fresh air. We also heard some noise from the nearby disco bar. The location felt safe and was very walkable, and the receptionist was especially kind and thoughtful at every step. She shared a taxi contact and helped us with several other things.

The rooms were very nice, comfortable, and friendly. A fabulous hotel.

The pictures don’t match what you find here. Rooms are spacious, but very basic and worn. The location is great, and the staff were helpful. Breakfast is included and tasted good, though the portions were very small. I wouldn’t choose to stay again, but for what I paid, it was worth it.

The staff were generally pleasant, but the room issue left me disappointed. I paid extra for a Deluxe Room and received what was clearly a Junior Suite, which the hotel’s own website lists as a lower-tier room. When I questioned it at the front desk, they insisted I’d been given the Deluxe. The room I got differed clearly from what I booked, so I was left feeling either that I was being lied to or that the website’s photos and descriptions were seriously misleading. Advertising one thing and providing another is unacceptable. If you’re thinking about upgrading, check the details before arriving and save screenshots of your booking and the room photos. It could have been a great stay, but this left a sour taste.
