Hotel MS Ciudad Jardín Plus

Hotel MS Ciudad Jardín is comfortable and very well located. I could easily walk to several shopping centers and to the University of Valle, which was really convenient. The food is generally varied and very good, though breakfast could use some work, especially the way the eggs are cooked. It would also be helpful to have plant-based milk, such as almond or oat, for people who don’t drink regular milk. The food service is already of a very good standard, even with those details to improve.

I wasn’t sure how central the location was, and I only stayed one night. After reading reviews about cleanliness and noise, I was so apprehensive that I even tried to cancel. But I was very happy with my stay: my room was very clean and seemed renovated, the staff were nice, and breakfast was good.

I spent a month here and never had a bad meal at the restaurant. The bed was super comfortable, just the right firmness for me, and the staff were wonderful. I don’t speak Spanish, but they were so helpful, arranging cab rides and being friendly throughout. The rooms have a lot to be desired, though. A breezeway runs from the lobby through all the floors like a shaft, carrying every door opening and footstep. The free breakfast was below par compared with other places I’ve stayed, with little variety from day to day. As others have mentioned, the towels were stained and pretty thin. If you stay here, get the Rappi app, their version of Uber Eats. You’ll be glad you did.

We visit Cali often, and I’ve stayed at this hotel more than 10 times in the past seven months. A few months ago I left a positive review, but since then the rooms have become less clean, which is very sad. We tried to raise it with management, but were told they weren’t available. I left a message and never got a call back, so I changed my review. If they had called, I wouldn’t have changed my rating. Now we’ll have to find somewhere else to stay.
