Hotel Kantarrana Urbana Jardin

We had a double room with a shared terrace, a great place to sit and take in the view of the church. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the hotel felt homey and safe. Really good value, and I’d highly recommend it.

They didn’t clean my room, and I just killed a baby cockroach. The room looked nothing like the photos. Such a disappointment. It got worse: a blinking light shone into the bedroom all night, and I woke up with a sore throat from the room’s must. Avoid this place at all costs.

One of the prettiest hotels I’ve stayed in anywhere in Colombia. Our room was nice and clean, the people were really friendly, and the view was absolutely stunning. I’d definitely come back.

We’re a retired older couple and were grateful to travel while our health allowed. We booked three nights based on the good reviews. On our first night there was no hot water, so we couldn’t shower and did our best to wash with icy water from the sink. We raised it the next morning, and the staff apologized. But when we came back that evening, three police officers were waiting. We learned that after staff passed along our complaint, the owners ordered them to kick us out. The officers were there to make sure we paid for the previous night before leaving. Even though it was late, nobody offered to help us find somewhere else to stay. Luckily, we’d already made good connections in Columbia, and they found us a lovely place five minutes away, with hot water and a much better breakfast for less than half the price. The owners are hostile toward guests who complain. Buyer beware.
