Glamping Jardín

I wish we'd stayed longer, and I know we'll be back. The staff were wonderful and so helpful, and getting into Jardin is easy by car or taxi. The glamping tents are perfect, with breathtaking views. Waking up among banana plants and coffee bushes to the sound of so many birds really feels like being in paradise.

After the hustle of Medellín, Glamping Jardín was a peaceful escape surrounded by stunning nature. The Dutch couple who run it have made a truly special place, with a warm atmosphere and a very welcoming feel. The tents are surprisingly luxurious. I extended my stay within hours, it felt like a little holiday during my trip.

The whole place has such a chilled out feel. Nearby hikes offer gorgeous views, and the social area is peaceful too. We met some amazing people there from all over the world. There's a fully equipped kitchen, the best we've had so far on our four-month trip, plus games and a TV area. They're also building some new additions to make room for everyone. If you're thinking of visiting Jardin, you need to stay here. We'd definitely come back. We ended up staying four nights, then had to return for more. We tried both the four-bed shared tent, which had everything we needed, including a privacy curtain, locker, lamp, storage, hooks, and hot showers, and a private tent that was really cozy, with a little bench outside for enjoying the views. Suzan and Jamie are extremely reliable and always up for a chat. They can book tours, and the bee tour was fantastic, or arrange a taxi into town, which costs 22,000-26,000. There's also a gorgeous, friendly chocolate lab. Breakfast is amazing, with homemade granola, yogurt, fresh fruit, their freshly picked coffee or tea, and fresh juice. You can also get eggs on toast with the same sides. If you're lucky, you'll spot some exotic birds too.

We loved it so much that we returned for a second stay. Susan, who owns the place, is on hand for anything you need and has brilliant activity recommendations. The facilities are very good, including a huge social area and a really well-equipped kitchen. It's about a 15-minute tuktuk ride from jardin and so worth the trip if you want to be surrounded by nature, watch birds, and take long walks with stunning views.
