Viajero Cali Hostel & Salsa School

I had a great time at this viajero. The parties were incredible, and host Karín made everyone feel comfortable. The salsa lessons were really fun, and the teachers were great. Whether you're a beginner or not, you'll improve quickly with them. There are loads of activities, everyone was so nice, and I'd recommend this hostel in Cali if you want a comfortable stay, salsa lessons, and a chance to meet people.

I booked one night and have already extended to a week. The dorms are spacious and well cleaned, even for a longer stay, and the rooms are great. Ruben and Kevin have been helpful with all my questions. The location feels safe, with lots of little cafes nearby. The social activities make it easy to meet people, but there's room to sit them out if that's more your thing. I especially loved the private classes in the hostel with Ivan, and learned a lot in a short time. The kitchen and bar close a bit early, though you'll probably be heading out by then. I'd highly recommend staying here over other hostels.

The staff are AMAZING, and the location is really good. The room and beds were clean, the common areas were nice, and the activities were a lot of fun. Vanessa was a lovely salsa teacher. Still, for what this hostel costs, too much wasn't okay. The dorm bathroom is all in one, with the toilet and shower together, and it gets noisy when someone has to get up early or comes back late. The floor creaks too, so everyone in my dorm slept badly. There was no kitchen because of construction, but I paid the same as people who had one and didn't have construction noise. I couldn't afford to eat at restaurants every day. They gave me a 20% discount at the hostel restaurant, but it still didn't feel fair. My private salsa class also cost the same, but because the local was under construction, it was held in a room. And a hot shower is a matter of luck. They should announce activities before the day they happen, so people can organize their salsa classes in advance.

Really clean, and a big thanks to the cleaning staff for the GREAT JOB! It's a fantastic hostel for salsa fans, though I don't like salsa and still enjoyed my stay. For activities, go to Karin. He knows everything and keeps people connected. Thank you!
