The story goes that a Mohán, a mythical creature, used to leap into the well at one of the houses on this street every night and keep everyone in the house awake. A religious woman, Doña Dolores Pasco de Vela, made a promise to the Virgin of Carmen: if the specter disappeared, she would establish a school in her name. Not long afterward, the Mohán was never seen again. To find the street, continue along Nuestra Señora del Carmen Street and look to your left.
