Aguamarina Hotel Boutique - Adults Only

The service was even better than the amazing food, and I felt very secure there. I was traveling alone as a woman, and the staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. The room was so nice that I honestly found it hard to leave each day. It’s perfectly placed for walking around the Walled City. There aren’t enough stars for this hotel!

We really liked the room and breakfast, and the building is so cool, with a perfect location. Oscar and Jose from Aguamarina were wonderful. Our Airbnb host never showed up with the key, everything was closed, and we were exhausted, wandering the street with no idea what to do. A really nice coffee street vendor on the corner, try his Colombian coffee, put us in touch with Oscar. He went out of his way to take us in late at night and make us comfortable. We’ll never forget that.

The Aquamarina was much more than somewhere to sleep. The staff were personable, and the architecture was beautiful, with thoughtful attention to detail that made our visit relaxing and memorable. We had a lovely time. If a room happens to be available, grab it!

The hotel is right by great restaurants, bars, and shops, just a one-minute walk from Plaza Santo Domingo. My husband and I loved our days there, and we got to stay in two of its four rooms. Both were beautiful. It’s a cozy little gem in Cartagena, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. Huge thanks to Marisol Rivera, who was already helping us before we even arrived in Cartagena. We’re hoping to come back soon.
