Hotel Bahia Cartagena

The location was the only good part. We were told to wait until 3 p.m. for our rooms, then didn’t get them until around 3:30 or later. The rooms were old and smelled dusty, and the sheets had an awful smell. We complained on the first day, but nothing changed. I don’t think they use enough detergent or softener. The AC wasn’t cooling the room properly, and the pool water didn’t seem very clean. This hotel needs improvements. I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it.

Breakfast was good as always, and the service was excellent. They do have hot water, but it’s hard to control. I’d stayed here before and had a great time, but this visit wasn’t as good. The rooms were different, with furniture set so low it seemed made for little people. Not sure I’ll give it a third try.

Two of the front desk ladies are adorable, but the hotel is pretty much what you’d expect from a three-star place and nothing more. The restaurant was terrible. The food was tasteless and not fresh at all. The melted butter at breakfast gave me a good idea of how well the food is kept.

The price seems fair, and the rooms are almost clean, but the quality is low, which fits the hotel’s cheap rates. The AC was leaking when we entered our room. They fixed it, though we had to wait 15 minutes. The fridge was dirty and looked really old. Breakfast wasn’t very good either, with dry eggs and fruit that didn’t seem fresh.
