Andres, Cesar, Alfredo and Carolina were all professional and friendly, and the included breakfast was very good. We spent two nights here last week. The rooms were simple but clean, and the hotel’s decor and setup were nice, very Instagram friendly, I guess. It’s good value, especially for such a prime location. Casa Diluca was an enjoyable stop, though we moved to a nicer hotel for the following three nights, as originally planned.

The location puts you right in the middle of everything, so there’s club noise at night. Even so, the staff were friendly and attentive, and I had a delightful stay over New Year’s. The pool gets sun for most of the day and drinks can be served there. Breakfast felt carefully planned and was freshly made. The rooms and bathrooms are large and well ventilated, with AC running all day. For the price, I expected a more substantial gym. There’s breakfast, but no lunch or dinner service, though plenty of restaurants are within walking distance.

The breakfast here is far beyond the usual fruit and yogurt. There’s a chef baking bread and making omelettes, scrambled eggs, and sunny-side-up eggs in front of you. I’m gluten-free, and he made me fresh cheesy yuca bread, which I’m obsessed with. When I asked for a few extra to take back to the States, he immediately agreed. One morning I also met the owner, an incredibly hardworking woman who was up early making sure the buffet was ready alongside the staff. The hotel has a heavenly eucalyptus scent that I wish I could bottle. It feels like a bohemian dream, with warm, inviting, beautifully curated corners throughout. The hospitality felt personal from check-in, and you can tell the people who work there love what they do. I’m sure Cartagena has many lovely hotels, but if I return, Hotel Casa diLuca is the only place I’d stay. I have nothing bad to say. It’s stunning, soulful, and full of people who are wonderful at their jobs. I felt surrounded by comfort, beauty, and incredible service. Stay here and you’ll fall in love with it like I did.

We slept incredibly well, which isn’t always easy in Cartagena. Our room had AC, a coffee machine, comfortable bedding, and great water pressure. The hotel is beautifully decorated, and its rooftop pool, with city views and a little bar beside it, was a highlight. Since it’s a boutique hotel, it never felt crowded. We stayed at Casa de Luca in Cartagena this past July and loved the central location, with so many bars and restaurants just steps away. The staff went above and beyond and made the stay feel special. Breakfast is available, mostly a typical American continental spread. It’s convenient, though I’d also try some nearby local places. We’ll absolutely stay again on our next trip to Cartagena. I especially recommend Casa de Luca to first-time visitors who want a lively central area and great service.
