Casa Pestagua Relais Châteaux

We came across the hotel on our last day and had a fantastic Sangria by the pool. The service was impeccable, especially from Carlos, who took care of us. The person making our drinks also explained all the ingredients in detail, which was a nice touch. Sorry, I can't remember his name. We weren't staying there, but if I'd known about it earlier, we definitely would have.

For me, Casa Pestagua has been the best hotel experience I've ever had. The colonial architecture is stunning, and the calm atmosphere makes it feel like a private oasis in the middle of Cartagena. My room was spacious, beautiful, and comfortable, with thoughtful details throughout. The staff were genuinely kind, warm, and attentive, and went out of their way to make me feel at home. The food was outstanding, too, with fresh flavors and elegant presentation. The location puts you right in Cartagena's old town, yet inside the hotel it's completely peaceful. I've stayed at many hotels around the world, but Casa Pestagua is on another level. This was an experience I'll never forget.

Casa Pestagua has a lovely mix of luxury and local spirit, and the experience feels intimate and distinctly Cartagena. It was a charming, comfortable stay with genuine hospitality. Absolutely deserves five stars.

You feel at home at Casa Pestagua, and they do a lot to keep you comfortable. At breakfast, I scratched my leg and a bottle of bug spray appeared at my table before I could say "mosquito." After a hot day out, I'd find a cold towel and bottle of cold water within easy reach. We did run into a couple of very minor problems, mostly from damage left undiscovered by earlier guests. The hotel went out of its way to put things right, even though they didn't have to since the issues were small. I'd love to stay there again.
