Laura at reception deserves a special thank you. She helped with every question and made extending our stay incredibly easy. Her professionalism, warmth, and genuine care made us feel very welcome. We had a wonderful time at Heiss Hotel in Medellín. The service from the moment we arrived was outstanding, and the whole experience exceeded our expectations. We’d absolutely come back and would choose Heiss Hotel first next time we’re in Medellín. Highly recommended!

Communication with reception was slow and unclear. I had to repeat the same question in several WhatsApp messages before getting an answer. The hotel wouldn’t offer a solution or compromise, even after I sent several emails explaining what happened and told them in advance exactly what review I’d publish if they didn’t resolve it. My reservation clearly covered two guests. At check-in, I said the second person would arrive later, and the receptionist told me that was fine as long as they showed valid ID. Later, when I contacted reception proactively on WhatsApp, I was suddenly told this was no longer allowed and I’d have to pay an extra 200,000 COP. That directly contradicted what I’d been told at check-in. Because they refused, I had to book another hotel room for that person. I’ve never run into this in over 40 countries of travel. I’ve stayed at places in Medellín like Loma Verde and Factory Lofts, where these situations were handled much more professionally. Very disappointing and unprofessional handling of a simple situation.

The pool area was pretty nice, and our rooms were spacious and clean. The staff were so kind and always ready to help with a smile. Jhonathan and Laura A. at the front desk were THE BEST! I arrived in Medellin at 6am after traveling for 9 hours, exhausted and desperate to sleep. They rearranged a few things and got me into my room at 7:30am so I could shower and nap. I’ve never been checked into a hotel that early. I’m SO grateful, and they were sweet and fun, joking with me and helping with my bags. Our stay at Heiss hotel was great, 10/10.

We checked out immediately because the setup was so awful. The rooms were tiny, with every sound from neighboring rooms and the hallways coming through. There was a mildew smell, a rock-hard bed, and bugs flying around. It was almost comical how bad the place was. I really wish we’d paid attention to the negative reviews. Beware, this is absolutely not a 4-star hotel. Calling it one is a joke. It’s closer to a motel at best, and deserves 2 stars. The staff are nice, but that didn’t make up for the rest.
