Edificio Palmetto Beach

The pool is simple, but it was refreshing, and the view from there was amazing. We also had a great view from the 36th floor, easily a 20 out of 10. The location is fantastic, and I appreciated having security around the clock. Staff weren't especially friendly, though they weren't mean either, just spoke when spoken to. Hot water took a while to come through, and then we only had about 20 minutes of it.

The apartment was roomy, comfortable, and well equipped, and the front desk staff were great. It's across from the beach, with points of interest within walking distance or a short Uber ride away. And that view from the place is inspiring. You'll love it.

The staff seemed friendly, but they were very strict about the rules. Although the lobby says you can have up to six guests, they told us visitors had to be checked in by 9 p.m., like this was a hospital. It might suit a family get-together, but it isn't a good fit if you're single and hoping to meet someone during a night out. The rules ruined my vacation.

I stayed in Apt 3303, owned by Luis. The building has 24-hour security, and guests get a blue armband to wear during their stay. Check-in and checkout follow the times set by your host. The location is handy, close to the beach, shops, and restaurants, with taxis always nearby. Bring your own washcloth, towels, and blankets, since most rentals don't supply these, especially for visitors from the States. The beach area was very dirty, so I didn't swim.
