Hotel Avadia Del Mar

The staff were attentive and friendly, and their service was the one bright spot for me. The owner, on the other hand, wasn’t very helpful when issues came up. I won’t return or recommend the place, and I wish I’d noticed the low rating before booking. I chose it for the pool, but we only got access to the wet area on one day. It’s rented out for youth parties at night, then maintenance was happening the next day. Guests are only allowed in the pool until 7 p.m. The apartment facilities are run-down. The location also didn’t work for us: it’s far from the historic center, and a taxi there costs at least 25,000 COP. The area felt unsafe and unclean. There aren’t many vendors on the beach, but visitors are advised to leave by 6 p.m.; there’s nothing to do at night, and it doesn’t feel safe to go out. My stay wasn’t pleasant.

It’s near the beach, but there are mice, and the staff don’t respond when you ask for help. They just don’t seem to care.

A fun atmosphere, not many people around, and a great time.

The apartments were in terrible shape, smelled musty, and had mice. The place felt extremely unsafe and disgusting. The owner smokes marijuana, and the smell gets into the rooms. If you get the chance to go, don’t.
