Hotel Casa Carmen

The bedroom was large and very clean, and I enjoyed breakfast. The staff were great, and the location was great for the price. I was there for just one night before joining a group at another place nearby, and it felt worth what I paid. There was a lot of noise late into the night, probably from the neighborhood. The hot water wasn’t really hot, but with the humidity I didn’t mind. The WiFi was erratic, though it didn’t affect me much.

We liked the delicious breakfast in the cute patio, and there are plenty of good restaurants nearby. It’s centrally located for the sights, too. The room was clean and bright, with fresh towels, a TV, air conditioning, and a bathroom. The hotel was very quiet. Check-in was quick, and the staff were extraordinarily friendly and helpful. We extended our stay from one night to three because the service was so good, and we’ll definitely come back.

Our room wasn’t ready, so the friendly staff upgraded us for the night. The room was good, but the only pillows they had were thick and hurt my neck. Guests at the neighboring hotel were obnoxiously loud, and our staff kept going over to ask them to quiet down.

The house feels cozy, and breakfast was generous, with fruit, juice, toast, and coffee. The rooms could be in better shape. The location is good, though getting there by car in the morning can be tricky because the street is narrow and other cars park there.
