The house needs serious maintenance. They rent the whole place, but cooking wasn't really possible because two women were always using the kitchen. There was no room in the fridge for our groceries. The bathrooms were dirty and moldy, and there was no showerhead. Police came and advised us to leave the area, so we did.

The house has what you need, with comfortable rooms, A/C and fans throughout. The pool was cleaned every day, and the sheets and towels were clean, though during our four-night stay they were never changed. There's a terrace with a grill and another stove upstairs. A tropical storm came through while we were there, and water leaked into the house and one of the upstairs bedrooms. We could walk to either of the two nearby Ara stores during the day, but it didn't feel safe to go at night. The location is difficult to access and in a squatter settlement, although the house itself felt safe. There was also a nightclub playing very loud music until 5:00 AM, so it wasn't a good place to relax.

The hotel service was very friendly, but I didn't feel safe in the surrounding area. A nightclub next door was noisy all night, with the sound continuing until 9 AM the following day.

Everything was clean, tidy, and comfortable for a family or larger group. The house looks just like its photos, and I'd recommend it.
