Hotel Casa la Tablada

The breakfast was the best way to start our days. Fruit and breads were provided, then they took our order. My wife asked for scrambled eggs with ham, onions, and tomatoes, even though it wasn’t on the menu, and they happily made it. DINA, our waitress, was an absolute sweetheart. She remembered what we’d had and liked the day before, greeted us with a smile, and was always ready to help. The kitchen staff were wonderful too. William, Vladimir, and Dennis were fantastic, helping with reservations and taxis. We stayed for our 33 wedding anniversary, and couldn’t have picked a better place. The hotel is a small boutique property, maybe 15 rooms, and honestly the intimate size was perfect. We usually stay at large chains, and after checking out the Sofitel, I felt bad for what its guests were missing. The service here was personal and impeccable from the moment we arrived. The old city location was just right, with short walks to the walls, clock, Getsemaní, and everything else. Across the street there was a park with live music, restaurants with outdoor seating, and a lively atmosphere. The rooms are small but clean and have what you need, including real soap instead of just liquid stuff. As I wait at the airport for my flight home to my paradise, Miami, I’m already missing the city, hotel, and staff. Thank you Cartagena!

A lovely colonial-style hotel in a great location. We had a superior room with a balcony, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The shower was good, with plenty of hot water. Everyone was super nice and helpful, and Dina at breakfast was especially lovely and fun. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The pool was small but never crowded, and it was great for cooling off in the middle of the day.

We recently spent four wonderful nights at Hotel Casa La Fe and would absolutely stay again. It’s right inside the walled city, within easy walking distance of the main sights, restaurants, and attractions. The hotel has lots of character, comfortable rooms, a lovely courtyard for breakfast, and a small rooftop pool that’s great for relaxing. We enjoyed the made-to-order breakfast each day. Staff throughout were very friendly and helpful. The front desk team even arranged our excursions before we arrived, and communication was excellent from the day we booked.

Our family room had a high ceiling, a loft with two twin beds, and double doors to the street that kept it nice and quiet. William at the front desk was helpful. Breakfast was served in the prettiest courtyard, where someone was always there to help without us even having to ask. I also liked the shady park across the street from our balcony room.
