Go around sunset, like people suggested to us. The view of the sunset among the cannons and all that history was really cool, and we were glad we went then. There's a great walk along cannons that have faced the sea for more than a hundred years. There are cafes up there with music and great people too. Highly recommend it!

The walled city entrance gets really busy sometimes, so try going when there aren't any ships in port. Walk along the wall, but be ready for aggressive vendors, performers, and people offering massages. The city is beautiful and has plenty to see, from restaurants and markets to nearby attractions, beaches, UNESCO sites, tours, and nightlife. There are clubs and rooftop parties every night. Getsemani alone takes more than a day to explore. Stay careful and enjoy Colombia. 🇨🇴

Music, local vendors, and lively streets surround La Torre del Reloj, right where you enter the old city. We visited both during the day and at night, when it's beautifully lit. The architecture is lovely and steeped in history, and it's one of Cartagena's most iconic landmarks. A great place to begin exploring and a must-see that captures the city's charm.

We had a wonderful day exploring the old city during our cruise stop. This felt like its main entrance. We enjoyed picking up snacks here and there and bargaining with the street vendors.
