Great security, and we felt very safe throughout the stay. The staff were considerate and kept in touch with me for weeks beforehand. The concierge team deserves a special mention. I arranged the trip for my girlfriend’s birthday and met the talented Yorelis Guerrero through the concierge. Before we arrived, she decorated the room with real rose petals and candles from the front door to the bed, balloons on the walls and floor, and a cake. She did a wonderful job. The front desk handled payment discreetly at check-in so the surprise wasn’t spoiled. It was the best service I’ve ever had from a whole business team, and worth every penny. If you want room decorations for a special occasion, I highly recommend emailing the hotel concierge ahead of time and asking for Yorelis Guerrero. Her decor is affordable, with different packages if you want something fancier, and she works quickly. She does all kinds of occasions, not just birthdays, and the results look stunning.

The room was a good size, with a large bathroom, and room service kept it clean. The air conditioning is very powerful. We weren’t used to it, and both my girlfriend and I ended up with runny noses and sore throats. Even after turning it off, the air stayed dry, and the windows can’t be opened. The pool is nice and has a good view, and there was always a spot available. Sadly, it gets no sun in the afternoons because of the larger hotel next door. Pool drinks are quite expensive, though the food is fairly priced, and the cocktails are really tasty. The beach is right beside the hotel, but you have to pay for sunbeds since the hotel doesn’t own any. The staff were always friendly and helpful. We had a pleasant stay and I can recommend the InterContinental in Cartagena.

I stayed for five nights and six days, and the hotel was better than I expected. Getting around was easy from this location, and the price felt like good value. The rooms were spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and the amenities were well looked after. Staff were welcoming, professional, and always ready to help. I really enjoyed the stay.

The location made it easy to walk everywhere, and we really enjoyed the food and the clean pool. Our room arrangements got a little mixed up at first, but the hotel sorted things out quickly and we were both happy with the result. The staff and setting were great. Khadija deserves a special thank you for being so welcoming and helping us through every situation. She speaks more than five languages! Highly recommend it.
