It was easy to walk everywhere from this quiet, peaceful location. The facilities were nice too: the shared bathroom was spacious, with plenty of soap and a hand towel, and the rooms had AC, which you need in Cartagena since the hostel gets very warm during the day. The rooms felt a little small for 2 people. There was a weird vibe, and the staff weren’t very involved. It wasn’t a social hostel, which was fine for us, but I wouldn’t recommend it if that’s what you’re after. At checkout we felt a bit unwanted and didn’t feel we could hang around and relax in the hostel.

The location is on the edge of Getsemaní, and walking to the hostel means taking a dark street that can feel intimidating alone. Nearby clubs also play very loud music at night, which probably won’t let you sleep. The room seemed clean, the staff were friendly, and the location itself is good, but the place has a strange vibe and doesn’t feel like a hostel. They also don’t accept card payments, which was odd since all our previous accommodations had.

We picked a room with a balcony, and it was a very good choice. The hostel is clean and neat, and the host was a huge help. We didn’t spend much time there because it’s so central and easy to get everywhere. Very affordable too. Gracias amigos !! (Travelled February-March 2023)

There was plenty of room to lounge around, and using the computers was no problem. Our comfortable room had AC, a ceiling fan, and a balcony with a nice ocean view. The area felt safe and quiet, and the staff were friendly and helpful. A great hostel and a great stay.

The staff were really friendly, and I liked the comfortable beds, air conditioning, and good breakfast. But the kitchen was poorly equipped and had nowhere to leave your things. Some ceiling fans were noisy, and I missed having hooks in the room and bathrooms for towels. It also felt like everyone kept to themselves, so I decided to switch hostels.
