Do not book, the place isn’t there. The owner next door said it had closed 1.5 years earlier.

There’s a shaded patio where you can have a drink or a good chat with the host or other guests, and the atmosphere is lively. The beds and pillows are soft, which really matters after a day of sightseeing. Everything was spotless, and the price was very affordable. It’s within walking distance of the bay, where there’s a 1.5-mile path with a nice ocean breeze. I felt very safe, and there’s laundry service on site, plus a 24-hour pharmacy and convenience stores. I’d definitely stay here again on my next trip to Cartagena.

The staff and breakfast were great, and the location was alright. It was also a bit cheaper than other hostels nearby. The rooms are dated, though, and several small things were broken: the tap, the TV remote, the floor, and the shower, which didn’t work properly. The pool was in really poor condition and wasn’t clean.

There is a free parking spot, which is handy, but I didn’t think the place was worth the price. It wasn’t very clean, and the staff didn’t speak English. The lockers were too small for big backpacks, and although card payment was advertised, you couldn’t pay by credit card. There were no locks on the rooms, so the landlady walked through whenever she wanted.
