The staff were the best part of our five days here. They were friendly, helpful, open, and had a great sense of humor. Breakfast was delicious, too. The room was cleaned every day, but it needs redecorating. There were lots of chips and scratches, and no furniture on the balcony where we could sit and enjoy the lovely view. The vents also brought in kitchen food smells whenever we returned to the room. There was pool maintenance with no warning, and the constant drilling made it hard to relax. I was somewhat satisfied overall, but the building itself needs an upgrade. The staff are what kept this at three stars for me.

The pool was nice, and being close to the beach is a plus. The rooms felt a bit dated, though the amenities were okay. For the price, the service didn't feel worth it. The breakfast buffet had very few choices, and the food quality was pretty average.

The pools were fine and not too crowded, and I enjoyed the breakfast. Still, this was a disappointing stay. I've been to other Sonesta hotels that were fantastic, but this one does not deserve four stars. The rooms need a refresh: paint was peeling, bathroom pipes were exposed, and the balconies looked like they hadn't been cleaned in ages. There was also a smell from the kitchen extraction fan, like a fast food place. Maintenance was going on constantly. Workers painted planters while leaning on my sun lounger as I sat there, then opened a large manhole right behind me and started drilling. On top of that, we got a letter the night before saying electricity maintenance would leave us without power from 8 am to 5 pm the next day. That's just poor.

The rooms are spacious, which is nice, but they need a lot of maintenance and improvement. Breakfast was just eggs, rice, sausages, and arepas as the main meal.

I was there for just one night. The room was roomy and comfortable, and the price was good for what I got.
