Viajero Cartagena - Centro Hostel

Andrea made me feel especially welcome and included as a solo traveler. The activities she organized were thoughtfully planned and made it easy to connect with people. I spent three nights there, and the atmosphere was amazing. My dorm was comfortable and well kept, and the bathrooms were always clean. It was the best choice I could have made traveling alone.

The second stay at Viajero Cartagena made an already bad situation worse. I got only a very minor discount and what was clearly the worst room in the hostel. It didn't feel like a real effort to make things right or rebuild my confidence. On my first stay, a homeless man came onto the property and tried to steal my phone while I was in my room. I later found out that belongings in other guests' rooms had also been targeted. There didn't seem to be effective security, and staff only noticed the intruder after he had left. Management's response was the most frustrating part. I got no meaningful help, proper support with a police report, refund, or reassurance that security would improve. The head office has ignored my complaint, and staff wouldn't give me its contact details when I asked. This was handled badly from beginning to end. A serious security breach followed by dismissive service isn't acceptable. I'm still waiting for head office to respond, and if this keeps being ignored, I'll take the matter further. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

I'm back for a second stay, and this hostel is fantastic for meeting people. The location is great, too. Andrea coordinated all the social events and was absolutely the best. She made everyone feel welcome and helped us have a blast. Stay here, you won't regret it!

I'd happily stay here again. It's easy to meet other travelers, and the location is fantastic. The rooms were clean, the atmosphere cozy, and the staff very friendly. Lots of love to Larissa and Andrea.
