Akuaippa Hostal Restaurant

The family running the place were incredibly friendly, and the limonada was the best I've had in Colombia. I found the hostel by chance while trying to reach Tayrona's Calabazo entrance, then stayed a few extra days. It was possibly the nicest hostel I've stayed in across Colombia, and excellent value. The mattress was by far the best, especially appreciated after the lost city trek. Can't recommend it enough.

After a long hike, I was looking for somewhere decent to rest when I happened upon this place while leaving the park through the Calabazo exit. The wood views were great, the Wi-Fi was excellent, and the food was tasty every time, from the arepa and eggs at breakfast to lunch and dinner. Prices felt fair. I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff and the facilities: a pool, jacuzzi, pool lounge, and restaurant. I ended up staying for a day and basically had the hotel to myself. For some reason they're not on the big booking sites yet. My bunk bed was nice, and even though the bathroom was shared, I was the only one using it. The place was clean and the bed linen looked quite new. The only little problem was a leaking urinal that needs fixing. In my opinion, it's a hidden gem.

Lovely people and a beautiful property. One of the best stays I had in Colombia, and definitely the best mattress I slept on all month :)

We arrived without a reservation and stayed a few nights. The owner offered us a room for 70,000 COP per person for one night, breakfast included. We weren't sure at first, but she was very kind and showed us around. The room was clean and new, with fresh-looking beds, towels, and a key, and there was a pool and laundry service. We decided to stay. The owner made us breakfast and was very kind, and the young woman was so friendly too. The street is noisy, which is a shame, but it's an excellent place to sleep near Tayrona National Park.
