La Casa Amarilla Hostel

They have shared rooms, single rooms, and apartments, so it works well for families with children or groups of friends. The location is easy to find and close to the city’s popular areas. It’s a cozy place that makes you feel at home as soon as you walk in. I especially liked the cleanliness, decor, and service.

We were robbed before leaving when someone broke in through the balcony. There wasn’t adequate security, and we weren’t compensated for the full amount of what we lost. The apartment itself also had problems: the air conditioner in one bedroom was broken, the bathroom door was damaged and wouldn’t close, and a leaking cistern flooded the bathroom, which put visitors, especially adults and children, at risk. The kitchen listing gave the impression we could cook to save money, but there were no large pots or pans, so we had to buy them, and they offered no help. They advertise an apartment based on lies. That’s what happened at this hotel.

The staff were very attentive, but the facilities were in very poor condition. Our room was handed over dirty, and the bathrooms were filthy. There are no cameras and no security, and people break into rooms to steal things.

The rooms are spacious, and the staff are very friendly. The hostel is only a few blocks from Santa Marta Bay and not far from the city center. I recommend it.
