The hotel is lovely and right on the beach, and I would return, but I wouldn't pay what I did this time. Coveñas seems like a good place to visit outside peak season. During the busy period, I felt the owners used the situation to charge more and create a bad experience. Everyone arriving was told there was only one room left, which seemed like a way to set their own prices. It felt as if the place was run for the owners' comfort more than for guests. The owners' management was poor, though the staff were good and weren't to blame. The cutlery was unpleasant. Food prices were reasonable apart from the chicken: it was ridiculous to get one piece with rice and hardly anything else, especially when mojarra or sierra cost 38k less. That was the only menu item that disappointed me. Yulieth, the admin or owner, was very capable and handled almost everything herself because of the poor leadership. The other owners mostly sat around scolding people and enjoying the hotel.
