The prices for everything were more than fair, and the quiet cabañas are beautiful and cosy, with a great view. Manuel, Mary, and their two boys made my time in El Cocuy so special. Mary’s homemade food was wonderful, and Manuel’s hiking tips and company were just right. It’s also a lovely place to meet other travelers and locals. I’ll definitely come back. All the best to you guys, lots of love from Berlin 🇩🇪.

The hosts were very kind, and the room was comfortable. But the trekking tour they offered to "laguna grande" was a bad experience. I couldn’t make it there and had to turn back halfway. The other tour participants were leaving at 4 a.m., while our group left at 9 a.m. Their schedule had a problem.

The hosts know the area and transport options really well, and they were great at helping me speed up my travel to yopal. I stayed one night, had a comfortable room and a warm shower, and got some amazing local insights too.

The cabins have incredible views. You can see the town and sunrise from inside, and when the sky is clear, the stars and Devil's Pulpit are visible too. A 20-minute walk from the cabins takes you to views of Rita U'wa and Cóncavo. The hosts are always friendly, give advice on anything, and offer guide and transport services for trails to the Nevado at the best prices. Staying there feels like being at home. They serve full meals with delicious food and generous portions to keep you going all day.

Manuel and Mery made our stay in El Cocuy even better than we’d planned. We stayed at their hotel, ate delicious food, and hiked to Laguna Grande in El Cocuy Natural Park. We left eager to come back for the park’s other two hikes. We highly recommend them.
