The moon and sunrise here are something else, so make time to see them 🌅 😍. We couldn't kayak because the reservoir was low, but Luis and his nephew took us to an amazing house and out on a boat ride instead, which we loved. The facilities have everything you need and the view is incredible. Luis, his nephew, and Polo were wonderful hosts, and all the staff were friendly. The food was delicious, too. You can feel the love that went into this project 🩷. I'd recommend it to everyone and would absolutely come back. This gets my 5 stars, plus 6 more for Polo 😍, such a sweet, affectionate dog. We arrived knowing the water was low, and it turned into quite an adventure and a chance to connect with nature.

Don Fernando and Rebeca welcomed us so warmly into their beautiful home, and we can't thank them enough. The hospitality was outstanding, and the whole visit felt unforgettable. The quiet and peace at the site, along with the boat ride across the reservoir and its lovely scenery, made a real impression. Best of all was walking through the forest around the islet, taking in the views, sounds, and fresh air. Definitely somewhere to visit and come back to. 100/10.

Casa de Cristal Hostal won a piece of my heart. It feels like paradise, but still has that homey touch that makes it well worth visiting. The staff were incredibly kind, and the food was a satisfying gastronomic adventure. Many thanks to Rebbeca. I hope to return for the calm, the lake's temperature, and, of course, Polo's antics. Getting there started with a warm welcome from Mr. Fernando, who took us by barge from the meeting point to the hostel. Before that, I was already enchanted by Guatapé, with its colorful houses, friendly mix of locals and visitors, beautiful architecture, and landscapes shaped by the Peñol Rock. It had been ages since I'd been to the reservoir, so arriving there was a real treat. Thank you very much.
