Casa Hostal Antawara

We had a great room, very clean, with a nice balcony, working air conditioning and a fan. Breakfast was tasty and included in the very reasonable price. The small pool was lovely after walking in Tyrona National Park, just a short walk away. The hostess and her family were warm and accommodating, and made us feel at home even with the language barrier. I'd happily recommend it for a relaxing break or as a base for the park.

The pool is small, but it was plenty for cooling off after our Lost City hike, and the place felt cared for throughout. We really liked the people and thought breakfast was great, with several options. I especially liked the granola. Buses pass every 15 minutes, and a ride costs 2,000-4,000 COP per person depending on where you're going. They also made takeaway sandwiches for us when we were leaving, no trouble at all. A lovely spot to relax with great service.

The family who hosts the place made it feel like home. They were kind and thoughtful, suggested places to visit, and even prepared breakfast early one morning because we had to leave for the park. The breakfast was both delicious and healthy, served with such care. The Casa itself feels like a cozy home, with beautiful, spacious, airy rooms. I'll miss the family and the place!

There's a hammock on the balcony right outside the bedroom, and the bathroom is nice. It's a beautiful place with a great host. No hot shower, but in this warm climate the water temperature was fine, and hot water wasn't really needed.
