Francia welcomed us warmly and shared lots of useful tips during our stay, which was a real plus. The hostel has a lot of charm and sits on a quiet street, only two minutes from the center. Our private room was comfortable and away from the street, with hot water. Tea and coffee are available in the common area. We loved this cozy, quiet place and can’t recommend it enough!

The location is handy, close to the Parque, and it was great value for money. Everything felt fresh and very clean, with good facilities, free WiFi, a kitchen, and coffee in the morning. The staff were all friendly and happy to help. On our last day, they let us leave our bags in the common area while we did some activities before leaving Filandia. What more do you need?

The owner brushed off our concerns, so we asked for our money back and left. The pictures don’t match what you get: our room was smaller and completely different from what was shown on the website. It had neither a bathroom nor a window, despite what we’d been promised, and there was no common area to work in either. Don’t book here. Stay down the street at Hosteria de Mi Pueblo.

It’s a budget hostel, so don’t expect luxury, but it’s exactly my favorite kind of place. This family-run spot feels like home, with great shared spaces, a kitchen, and free coffee and tea all day. The staff even took us out to show us around town. They also rent bikes for 10k COP an hour.

The private room I had was clean and cozy, away from the street, so I slept well. Free coffee and tea were a nice bonus, and I really enjoyed my stay. If you use their mountain bikes, check that they’ve been serviced and are in good shape. Also, I wouldn’t take the suggested Barbas Bremen Tour with “Don Luis” Caminatas y Aventuras. It wasn’t really a hike into Barbas Bremen: most of the time was spent walking through pastures, with only about 30 minutes in the actual reserve.
