Hotel Lincoln

We rented their AIrbnb units and were profiled and treated in a discriminatory way by an older male front desk agent. He said in Spanish, “these black Americans think they can come here and do what they want,” apparently unaware that we're bilingual. The two women agents were lovely, always smiling and happy to help. We stayed twice and won't come back. A family member wanted to visit during our stay, but we were told to pay extra just for them to stop by our room. I've never heard of that, and no, they weren't a sex worker.

The rooms were okay, but I wouldn't return. A receptionist treated us with real disrespect and was rude even when we tried to be nice. It was an awful experience.

The staff were great, and breakfast was pretty ordinary, but fine for the price. Rooms were okay, though cleanliness could be better. I suggest leaving at least two towels per person. The room, including the bathroom, also needs better ventilation. The walkable area around 70 Street has plenty of bars, so it gets very loud.

I was a little uneasy after seeing the recent reviews, since I'd already booked two nights, but I had a superb stay at Hotel Lincoln for a cheap price. My room was huge and had a bathtub with jacuzzi functions and fancy LED lights, maybe because it was one of the newly renovated rooms. Even with Carrera 70 nearby, noise never bothered me, despite heavy rain and storms. Renovations were happening on other floors but didn't affect me. Breakfast was basic hotel fare, and I still enjoyed it. All the staff were kind and helpful. The woman serving breakfast and the man working the tables in the morning really stood out. He treated me and the other guests like old friends, and seemed to be everywhere the rest of the day. You don't see that kind of motivation often. I'd definitely book again.
