Fomeque was having a local event on our second night, so my friend and I got to try hearty soup and grilled meats, and the people there were welcoming. We were in town on the way to Chingaza national park, and Hotel El Parque is an easy base, within walking distance of everything. The rooms are simple, clean, and comfortable, with nice warm showers. Owner Luz Marina greeted us warmly, took us to a couple of local bakeries to pick up food for the trip, and shared other tips. Definitely recommend it, about 2.5 hours from Bogota. Muchas Gracias!

The service was impeccable and the price was reasonable, 90,000 pesos for 3 people. It's a well-located hotel, unpretentious and straightforward.
