We had all our meals fresh, enjoyed the pools, and even took a walk around the property. There are beautiful trees and birds, plus they raise tilapia there. The view of the Quinini mountains from the front of the hotel is so calming. For New Year’s, they also put on a party at the gran Chalan, right across the road, and provided transportation. We had a beautiful horse show, a wonderful dinner, live music, fireworks, and Champaign. It was lovely seeing families enjoy the evening together. The price felt worth it for everything on offer. We’ll definitely return, and next time we want to try the glamping and wake up to that view. I highly recommend this hotel if you’re in Chinauta.

The people here are attentive and keep checking on visitors. The food is delicious, too. For service, this is the best place in Chinauta (Cundinamarca). Congratulations!

The food costs too much for what you get, and the staff weren’t very helpful. I also booked a room with a Mountain View and ended up looking at a parking lot. Compared with other hotels in the area, the room price is way too high. I don’t recommend this hotel at all.

The lighting problem in our room took until the second day to fix, and the whole group check-in had already been an exhausting mess. After dark, we found a strobe light in our room. I called the front desk and was told someone would be sent, but after an hour and a half, I called again. The maintenance person had gone for the day and supposedly would come first thing in the morning. On the second day of our four-day stay, nobody had shown up. Housekeeping arrived after 4:00 PM, and when I asked about maintenance, they said everyone was busy. I went back to the front desk and spoke to the same woman from check-in. After I explained the situation again, someone finally arrived with a ladder and fixed the light at 8:20 PM. We’d called ahead about rooms for 21 people. Jesus took the call and tried to fit us in, but didn’t organize the rooms by family. He heard the group size, gave me a price, and I said I’d confirm within an hour and would most likely take it. I showed up 34 minutes later. At the desk, a woman found our reservation and told me the total had to be paid before we could even go past the lobby. I thought that was odd, but paid, figuring things might work differently from the United States. Then they asked for names and IDs, which was normal, but assigned rooms based on the number of people rather than how they were arranged. We had no keys and had to find someone to open each door. The first families were together, but after the fifth room, my kids, aged 6, 10, and 11, were supposed to stay alone in a room without an adult. I asked if that could really happen and was told I had to take it, that was all they had. I couldn’t do that. The woman said four rooms were left, with no connecting doors. I explained that only four of us were left, two couples who just needed one extra room. I went back to the front desk to explain the problem. The woman was rude and said nothing else was available. This was already three hours after we arrived. Eventually, they found what they called a suite, an upstairs room, but it wasn’t really an upgrade. It had only three beds for my wife, me, our daughter, and our two boys, so we needed at least four. I was tired of going back to the desk and stopped pushing. The supervisor offered a jacuzzi at no cost. I told her I was returning three expensive rooms for them to rent again, and she could do the math to see how much money that meant. She just stared like she didn’t care and expected me to be happy with a dirty, uninviting jacuzzi, which we never used.

I booked a standard room, but they tried to put me in an extremely small one with no air conditioning or TV, and a very narrow red bathroom. I had to pay extra for the room I’d already reserved. The service was bad, and the pool was freezing cold. What’s the point of having a pool if the water’s too cold to get in? I don’t recommend this hotel. Stay away.
