Hotel Giron Campestre

A nice spot.

We only stayed because it was late and nowhere else was available, then left in the morning. The room smelled musty, the mattresses were awful, and the facilities and furniture felt ugly, unpleasant, and poorly maintained. The pool was uninviting, and everything seemed stuck in the 90s. The air conditioning in the room they offered us was broken. Breakfast was mediocre, just a bad arepa and cheap bread. We also found filth under the beds when checking whether we’d dropped anything. I wouldn’t recommend it.

I asked for an electronic invoice on the day I arrived, but they never sent it. I tried reaching them by WhatsApp and phone afterward and got no reply. While I was there, I also needed a small sachet of styling cream and they charged me 5,000 pesos for it. Breakfast service was incredibly slow. A terrible experience, and it felt like a complete rip-off. DO NOT GO.

The noise made sleeping miserable, with motorcycles racing all night as if they were heading to the hotel. The pool was filthy, like it hadn’t been cleaned in months, and we didn’t use it. The receptionist was rude and unfriendly. We waited over an hour for a cheese arepa; when my husband asked about it, she snapped that it was almost ready. I eventually canceled it and ordered other food instead, but the ribs and fried fish arrived raw. Everything felt incredibly inefficient. Staying here was a terrible decision, and it was nothing like the pictures online. I wouldn’t recommend it.
