The main downside was the street noise, especially on weekends when celebrations went late. Still, the hotel is downtown near coffee shops, restaurants, attractions, and the local street market, and the bus terminal is about a 15-minute walk away. Try the coffee shops on calle 10 and visit the Plaza De Bolívar for the fountains and church. I also enjoyed coffee on the balcony of Kava Cafe. For what the room costs, I’d give it four stars for the room, service, and location. My room was very clean and good, especially the air conditioner, safe, and fridge. The breakfast buffet was better than basic, with three or four kinds of fruit, egg, cheese, rice or soup, and other simple items. Reception was mixed. The woman working in the morning was average, and I didn’t notice any friendly gestures from her. The afternoon and night receptionist knew some English and was very helpful.

There’s plenty of shopping nearby since the hotel is in the Centro Commercial and connected to a mall. Restaurants, banks, and parks are also within walking distance. My room was comfortable, very clean, and had all the amenities I needed. The breakfast buffet had lots of choices and was okay. The internet was patchy and unreliable, though, so it wouldn’t work well for a digital nomad.

The neighborhood gets really noisy. The hotel itself was clean, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable, though it probably doesn’t quite live up to the Dann hotels name.

A nice place in a cool town, with a sweet staff. Some people at the front desk spoke English. I’ll stay here again next time I’m in town.
