Hotel Star 37 Av

I stayed just one night at this very central hotel. The service was good, and it was quiet at night, though a little noisy during the day because of the location. There was a slight musty smell in the room, but opening the windows cleared it.

I've stayed here twice, and both times it's been amazing. Everything is spotless, the hotel is beautiful, and the service is incredible. Everyone is so friendly, especially the lovely cleaning staff. The rooms are comfortable whether you choose a fan or air conditioning, and the blankets are super soft. There's a great view too, plus a water dispenser in the hallway to use whenever you want. I definitely recommend it.

The location is the one good thing. We stayed one night and didn't like it at all. The room was dark, windowless, cramped, and uncomfortable, with two beds and a desk in the way. Mirrors facing the bed? Absurd. The food left in the room had expired in 2024. There's no free coffee station for guests, no elevator, and the bathroom fixtures are too small. SUPER UNCOMFORTABLE! At the restaurant they serve food in disposable containers, apparently because they get it from somewhere, though at least they'll transfer it to a ceramic plate. It feels like very poor taste.

There’s a Cruz Verde pharmacy close by, and plenty of spots nearby for coffee or a meal. The hotel also has a café just downstairs. I picked it for a short stay because of the convenient location. No covered parking, unfortunately, though that was okay for a brief break.
