The reception lady was helpful whenever I needed her, though sometimes she was warm and friendly and other times more reserved and practical. The location worked well too, with shops, an ATM, and restaurants nearby, and the bus terminal a short taxi ride away. We got a huge, clean room with a jacuzzi, and breakfast was included, so it felt like very good value. It was quiet on a higher floor. Some furniture was quite old and could use replacing, though I read that some rooms may already have been renovated. The sink was awkward to use because water tended to spill out when washing my hands.

The bed was so comfortable, and they let us check in very early after our night bus, which we really appreciated. Only downside was no hot water.

We were cold all night. The heater didn’t work, and the extra heavy blankets they gave us were so cumbersome they didn’t help. The Wi-Fi kept dropping, there were no bedside lights, and the room just wasn’t comfortable. The owner seemed to be trying hard, but this place didn’t work for us. Breakfast was included and the dining area was nice, but the meal was disappointing: a bun, scrambled egg with chopped ham, fruit juice, and coffee. We’d paid for two nights, but left that day and found another hotel with heating and hot water. We didn’t ask for a refund. Maybe this wouldn’t have bothered us 60 years ago, but it does now.

The beds were really comfortable, the price was very good, and breakfast was included. But the Wi-Fi and toilet didn’t work, the toilet door handle was broken, and the lift broke while I was inside. There was also a party that went on very late, followed by a loud argument early in the morning. With those issues fixed, this could easily be a five star stay.
