Isla Corona

The staff were attentive all day, from check-in and the pier onward. The beach was lovely, calm, and not crowded. It’s a must-visit when traveling to Cartagena, and worth every penny. Loved it!

The bungalow was fabulous, with ocean sounds day and night, great air conditioning, and a wonderfully relaxing, unusual outdoor shower. Meals were delicious and thoughtfully planned, with appetizers, main courses, and desserts. The excursions were fun and well organized too. Most of all, the whole Corona Island team made our stay from Nov. 10, 2025 to the 15th incredibly welcoming. They arranged everything my almost 83-year-old mother needed, including a personal assistant to help her walk to and from the bungalow for meals. It was a mother-daughter trip of a lifetime, and we’d go back in a heartbeat. Thank you!!!

The island's animals were such a lovely part of the holiday: macaws, parrots, greedy monkeys, and plenty of others. Their calls mixed with the waves and made a soundtrack we’ll always remember. We also loved the activities, from snorkeling and the mangrove experience to massages, a cooking class, and sound healing, plus themed evenings with paella, pizza, BBQ, and Asian cuisine. It was a wonderful stay surrounded by nature, with every comfort and kind, smiling staff. ❤️

The staff were top notch, especially Junior, our Host, along with Jessica, Carla, Samuel, and the young man at the restaurant who always had coffee ready at 7AM. And thanks to our Star*tender, whose name I forgot, for the much-appreciated soup at breakfast. Food and desserts both get an 8, service a 10. Views, location, atmosphere, and environment were 10+. Plus, ALL THE CORONA YOU CAN EVER DRINK! Our Bungalow 9 room looked beautiful, though it was musty with a hint of mildew. I had allergy meds and was fine, but the shower overhang’s thatch needs refreshing or a good sweep. There was lots of decayed, black bath-mat-staining debris.
