From the first day, we had a serious cockroach problem. They came out of the toilet, turned up inside the pillowcases, and crawled on the bed. We couldn't sleep peacefully, worrying that insects might crawl over us during the night. We moved rooms after reporting it, only to find more roaches there too, so this clearly wasn't confined to one room. When we first complained, the receptionist, Viviana, said it was “strange” because the hotel had supposedly fumigated that same week. That makes it seem like the hotel knows this is a recurring issue. The staff handled the situation negligently and unprofessionally, and kept dodging responsibility. They told us the manager, Andrés, would be available at 8:00 a.m. to discuss a refund. We showed up on time, but conveniently the room was no longer available, and nobody offered a solution. Charging people to stay in unsanitary conditions, playing down the problem, and avoiding responsibility is completely unacceptable. I don't recommend this hotel under any circumstances.
