The villas are beautiful and the architecture is amazing, so I expected a lot more. It’s certainly not a 5 star hotel, and I don’t think I’ll return. We were there on a holiday weekend, and too many things went wrong. Service was horrible, with too few staff for the busy nights. I’d choose a weekday over a Saturday night. The heater started smoking when we turned on the shower in our room. Smoke filled the bathroom, so we couldn’t shower. The wall above the heater was stained black, making it look like this had happened many times before. I can’t believe the owner hasn’t replaced that cheap electric water heater. We also ordered dinner to our room and got no utensils. It took 30 minutes for someone to bring forks and knives, so we had to stare at food we couldn’t eat. By then my steak was cold. We had a couples massage booked for 11am, but the masseuse arrived at 12pm. There was only one, so only one of us could get a massage if we wanted to make checkout on time. We had listed our allergies in the document we signed and told staff clearly. Still, they served us melon for breakfast, even though we’d explicitly said at check-in that we’re allergic to melon.

The villa and restaurant design is incredible, and the service was amazing. A great place to rest and disconnect.

Villa 6 has amazing views, and the villas and the shared bar and restaurant areas are beautiful. We were excited to try the place, but we won’t be back. The service was slow and disorganized, except for Gabriel, who seemed to know his job. Kudos to you, Gabriel. We ordered octopus and tuna tataki, then spent the night throwing up. We used all the minibar water and had none left to hydrate. We couldn’t reach the front desk, and at 2am my partner walked to reception for help, but no one was there. She knocked on the staff door and nobody answered. The next morning they told us they’d heard the knocking but were afraid to answer. At checkout, the woman helping us wouldn’t accept that the food had caused our food poisoning until another guest came over and described the same thing, food poisoning from the salmon. We got no help until 7:30am. It was a horrendous night. They don’t provide drinkable water, and this wasn’t mentioned when booking. Bring water or be ready to pay whenever you need to hydrate. There were bed bugs, and the villa wasn’t clean. When we went to reception about the bites, the woman knew what we meant and acted as if it was normal. She even showed us the bugs that might have caused them. Kind of funny, in a way. Please read the other listings about food poisoning.

It’s quiet and secluded here, with gorgeous villas and a spectacular view. The villas are well built and come with air conditioning, hot water, comfortable beds, Nespresso machines, and a well stocked mini fridge. Staff are friendly and well prepared, and the service was fantastic. Excellent location. I highly recommend this Tahiti.

The views are amazing, and the hotel has a fantastic, relaxing feel. Food is very good when the staff remember what you ordered, though a few small mistakes happened. I asked for a rare steak once and it came well done. For the price, the value is very good, and the negroni is worth trying. A few things bothered me. The staff say the area is safe, so they don’t give guests keys, meaning you can’t lock the villa. The shower, sink, and toilet water in our room was extremely dirty, yellow-brown, and showering felt pretty disgusting. The final 10 kilometers took about an hour on a terrible road full of rocks, mud, and huge holes. Our taxi nearly got stuck twice. It could be easier for international tourists if staff spoke English or the menu was in English, but these days it’s not such a big issue if the wifi works or you can get a signal. I’d put it somewhere between 3.5-4 stars.
