If you’re driving, be aware there’s no parking. It’s advertised as a hotel, though it runs more like an Airbnb, with an attendant there when needed. Charo, the on-site attendant, was especially helpful and courteous. 🏨🛏️🚗🅿️😊👍

The rooms are small but cozy, and the neighborhood is quiet, just a short walk from the city centre. We enjoyed the rooftop pool’s lovely view, especially at night, and breakfast was nice, though it wasn’t included. Everyone was right about Esperanza and her family treating you like part of the family. They’re super sweet and helped us with everything.

It’s a nice house, but I felt watched and didn’t have any privacy. When you run this kind of place, you need to understand that guests go out and have drinks. It’s lodging, not a rehab house.

The owner was rude and made no effort to fix anything, basically telling us to leave if we didn’t like it. We paid a high price mainly to use the pool, but it was disgusting and green when we arrived. We asked for it to be cleaned and went out for lunch, but it was even worse when we got back. A family member got athlete’s foot and a rash after using it, which put our health at risk and ruined the stay. When we asked for a partial refund, we got a mockery of one after begging and insisting repeatedly. We chose this hotel based on photos and a description promising a comfortable, family-friendly place in Cartagena, but that wasn’t what we found. The pictures don’t reflect reality, and the service is terrible. To me, this is a tourist scam. It doesn’t meet basic standards of quality or respect for customers, and I absolutely don’t recommend it. Don’t waste your money here. A complete disgrace.
