La Gloria Reserva Forestal

We spent the first few nights at La Comita, where the view was incredible and the bathtubs looking out over it made the stay feel extra special. The staff were welcoming and accommodating, and we loved the restaurant food. Then we moved to the Hobbit house, which was beautiful, with a lovely hot tub and a fireplace they lit for us. All the rooms felt magical, like something from a magazine. There were so many sweet animals around too, including chickens, rescue dogs, horses, and donkeys. Our time at La Gloria Reserva was incredible, and I can't wait to come back with more friends. Thanks for everything :)

Walking around La Gloria Reserva, I was struck by the views and the quiet. Greenery surrounds you, and sunlight comes through the leaves in a way that makes the whole place feel calm and alive. Birds chirp, leaves rustle, and chickens and dogs wander freely. It felt like a lovely break from everyday noise, and a real treat for anyone who loves nature. The property is so well cared for. The paths invite you to explore the flowers, trees, and little tucked-away corners, and the attention to detail shows how committed the staff and management are to preserving the natural setting. The people there made the stay even better. Everyone was warm and kind, and seemed to care about their work. They shared things about the local plants and animals and gave personal suggestions, which made me feel welcomed and looked after. La Gloria Reserva stayed with me after I left. It's a peaceful place with beautiful surroundings and thoughtful care for nature, and I came away feeling recharged and more appreciative of the natural world. If you get the chance to visit, it's well worth taking.

Awful experience. I only found out the day before my reservation that La Gloria had canceled it because of a credit card issue and rented the room to someone else. I’d contacted them to ask about the menu and activities, and they told me then. If I hadn’t reached out, my family and I would have arrived during Holy Week with nowhere to stay, despite booking five months ahead. Booking.com had notified me about the card problem, and I updated the card right away. I also contacted La Gloria directly and offered to pay by transfer, but got no response. I’ve since called Booking.com several times to sort it out, but the process is stuck because La Gloria isn’t responding to them either. I can’t see another logical explanation, but I suspect they canceled so they could take a more profitable last-minute booking for Holy Week. Terrible.
