Finca Hotel Amaru

There's plenty of space, fruit trees, a real sense of harmony with nature, and private parking for vehicles. A pleasant place to spend time with family or friends, close to the town of La Tebaida Quindío. The access roads are unpaved but in good condition.

For that price, you can find hotels that are much nicer, better organized, and better located. Here, the facilities are very old, and the drywall rooms get very hot. The shower was full of hair; when we told the cleaning lady, she got angry. The food was very mediocre, almost bad, and the children's play equipment is old and rusty.

We had booked two rooms for two nights and told them at 2 PM that we'd arrive late. We were traveling with a baby, and called again before getting there. Then they said the hotel was full and told us to "stay somewhere else beforehand". At 3:30 AM, exhausted and holding our baby, we were counting on our reservation. They said they couldn't do anything and hung up. A truly terrible experience, with awful management. They didn't explain anything, just ended the call.

The location is beautiful, well designed, and away from noise, but the service and rooms make this impossible to recommend for a restful stay. The rooms are separated by drywall, so there's hardly any privacy. There's no cable TV, just two over-the-air channels. The bed was awful, shaped like a canoe, and we had to lower the mattress to get any comfort. Terrible for your back. When we told the manager, she just gave us a blank look and did nothing to fix it.
