Hotel Hacienda Bambusa

For bird lovers, the hummingbird feeders all over the property are a real treat, with the Andes visible in the distance. The grounds are gorgeous, the food is wonderful, and the service is exceptional. It's a spectacular hotel in the heart of Colombia’s coffee region, and I’d absolutely recommend staying.

Waking up each morning to those breathtaking views felt like a dream. The new rooms with private pools are stunning, and the service was Michelin level throughout. The whole stay felt magical from beginning to end. We’re already looking forward to coming back.

We came for Día de las Velitas, a lovely Colombian tradition, and couldn't have picked a better spot. The house looks out toward the mountains, with grand trees and birds all around. Breakfast faces the fields and mountain backdrop, with fresh mandarin juice and Colombian coffee waiting. My husband and I took a short walk one morning and spotted several birds, including the rare orange winged amazon. We were thrilled. A lovely place for a peaceful stay in nature, among welcoming local people.

The hummingbirds feeding just outside the window all day may have been the best part, though the views across the property are breathtaking too. The rooms are spacious and amazing, the pool is beautiful and peaceful, and the food has lots of great choices. The team is professional, and we loved all the activities on offer. A wonderful romantic hotel in the Coffee region, near Armenia. We want to return as soon as we can.
