The tree house has a comfortable bed and a nice touch of privacy, with its own fence and jacuzzi, but it's set apart from the rest of the farm. The bathroom is downstairs and outside, which made late-night trips awkward. Going down the steel stairs in the dark was tricky. I also had trouble sleeping because of the noise from the roof, so light sleepers may want sleep aids. On the first night, heavy rain came through a roof leak and soaked half the mattress. The front desk changed the sheets promptly, which helped, and thankfully it didn't rain again during my stay. I hope they fix the leak. The farm-style atmosphere is charming and authentic, and the facilities are adequate. Service was acceptable, though nothing special. Breakfast is included, but the quality could be better. The food overall was just fair, not terrible but not memorable. La Granja Ecohotel has potential, especially with the unusual tree house, but the food, noise, and room maintenance need work. For me it was a three-star experience.

We spent the night at this finca and had plenty to do. The bici rail tour follows an old railway for about 3 kilometers, then includes a short walk to a small waterfall. Our guide was full of energy and shared lots about local history and the plants along the way. We even spotted monkeys nearby. Back at the farm, there are horseback rides and a paso fino horse show, plus goats, turkeys, hens, roosters, turtles, and several kinds of ducks. I especially liked how well they look after the animals, including Marina the pig and the K9 dogs. The staff are friendly, and staying overnight means you can watch a movie under the stars and sit by a bonfire. A great choice for a weekend or a work outing.

La Granja Ecohotel was a nice place, and I had a really good time there. I tried fun activities like Biciriel and visiting natural waterfalls.
