Hotel De La Prada

The food was good and the place was spotless, with really attentive service. The bed wasn't very comfortable, though, and there was a lot of noise.

The rooms were clean and the air conditioning worked well. What stood out most was the staff, who were warm, attentive, and very friendly. Great service.

The breakfast was decent, and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was clean too, and the service was fine, though nothing special. I paid 94,000 pesos for a room and thought that was steep for a small town like Maicao. For less, Riohacha has nicer hotels with the same level of service, even though it's a more touristy capital city. This place would be a better choice if the price were lower. As it is, it felt expensive and average.

The surroundings aren't very appealing, and the hotel could do more to make the most of its position as the only option in Maicao. The competition has its own shortcomings, so the owners should be trying to make this the best place in the city. Refrigerators and decent televisions would help, along with extra services like a spa or places to relax. It has the features you'd expect for the price, but that isn't enough to make up for the setting.
